This is the material for a graduate-level course on the design of complex integrated circuits, held at JKU under course number 336.048 (“VL Entwurf komplexer integrierter Schaltungen”). Follow this link to access the material.

The course covers how integrated circuits are built (MOSFET operation, CMOS technology, layout, packaging, testing, and the economics of chip making) and how they are designed (design methodology, ESD protection, latch-up, robust design techniques, circuit simulation, and project management).

All course material is made publicly available and shared under the Apache-2.0 license.
